Moon Knight has been relaunched and re-imagined as much as any Marvel hero over the past decade. Marvel finally seemed to arrive at the ideal take on the franchise with the most recent volume. Writer Warren Ellis and artist Declan Shalvey recast Moon Knight as a mysterious, philanthropic hero who uses his resources to protect "those who travel by night." The concept was strong enough that the book maintained its quality even as it switched creative teams with each new story arc. And now Marvel has relaunched Moon Knight yet again, retaining much of what worked about the previous volume but adding just enough twists to the formula to justify the #1 on the cover.
