Xbox One Slim possibly leaked through FCC

Here we go, the latest and greatest from Shacknews...

Two recent FCC filings have possibly outed the Xbox One Slim and a new Xbox One console altogether.

The wireless chips for both the Xbox One Slim and new Xbox were approved by the FCC, which is why their filings were outed. Both Xbox One consoles have NDAs attached to them, with the Xbox One Slim’s NDA expiring on June 25 while the new Xbox console’s NDA expires on July 29. This means Microsoft could very well introduce the Xbox One Slim during its E3 2016 presentation.

The time between the Xbox 360 and the Xbox 360 Slim was roughly five years, which would make the Xbox One Slim’s release much more timely considering it’s only been a little over two years since the Xbox One released in November 2013.

While an Xbox One Slim wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility, we’re curious to see what Microsoft has in store for it’s newer Xbox One. Sony is reportedly working on a PlayStation 4 that will support 4K gaming, so this could very well be Microsoft’s response to that device.
