Microsoft has added button remapping to the standard Xbox One controllers today.
Users who wish to remap their standard Xbox One controllers can do so in a variety of ways. The easiest way is to launch the Xbox Accessories app, although button remapping is also available within the Xbox One’s Settings app.
Button remapping automatically swaps button pairs, which ensures no button is left without any function. For example: If you move your RT to your LT, then by default, your LT will become your new RT. If you prefer to remap multiple buttons, that’s available as well.
Any buttons you remap on a single Xbox One console is not transferrable, so if you go over someone’s house, don’t expect all of your buttons to be remapped how they were at your home console. Button remapping is also available for both first-party wireless and third-party wired controllers, although there’s currently no PC support. Don’t worry, though, as PC support will be confirmed at a later time.
