We know we should expect to be hear about the Nintendo NX in the near future, but details surrounding the mysterious console may have just been leaked.
According to Twitter user Liam Robertson, a GFK survey sent to him by a reliable source apparently contains information on the Nintendo NX.
The survey confirms some previous rumors we reported, including it being a console/handheld hybrid, although some new details may have been leaked. The survey says the Nintendo NX will feature graphics at 900p/60fps, will support 4K/60fps video streaming, and will allow players to earn and share achievements. Gameplay is said to “flow” between the Nintendo NX console and its handheld device and can be used to surf the web or make video calls on your TV.
The Nintendo NX retail box is also rumored to contain the console itself, a sensor bar, its game controller, and an HDMI cable.
All of this information should be treated as a rumor at this point as we don’t know who Liam Robertson’s source, although we hope some of this information doesn’t turn out to be correct. We can’t imagine the Nintendo NX having “industry-leading chips” and only deliver a 900p gaming experience, especially now that gaming is entering the age of 4K and VR.
