Warning: Full spoilers for the episode below.
While I enjoyed the very end of Daredevil's first season, I do agree that the last third of the run was weaker than the first half-to-two thirds. Season 2, however, kept me riveted all the way until the end. A big part of that involved not always knowing where things were headed, whereas in the first season I was pretty sure as to how it would all go down in the end. What with the whole 13 episodes being a journey into that red suit. And into a one-one-one fight with Fisk.
Here, the only thing I was kind of certain of, as the finale progressed, was Elektra's death. Her final moments of exhumation notwithstanding, of course. Still, having said that, Matt's speech to her right before they went up to face Nobu and The Hand on the roof was very moving. With him saying that they'd run away together if they managed to survive the night. And meaning it.
