While Sony revealed the pricing and release date window for its PlayStation VR, we learned those who plan on purchasing it will need to own the PlayStation 4 camera in order for the headset to function. If you don’t own the PlayStation 4 camera, Sony will be offering a bundle in North America that combines both products and a Move controller.
"There will be a bundle in the SCEA region [North America] with Move and a Camera," a PlayStation representative revealed to TechInsider. Unfortunately, the representative didn’t disclose the pricing of the bundle, although if we had to guess, we’d say it’d be priced around $500 since the PS4 camera retails for $60, while a Move controller normally sells for $50.
The PlayStation VR is scheduled to release in October and will retail for $399.
