Halo 5: Guardians for PC is not going to happen, Microsoft says

Here we go, the latest and greatest from Shacknews...

Despite owning the PC operating system market, Microsoft continues to turn a deaf ear to PC gamers when it comes to the Halo franchise. It has teased players with complimentary words about the platform and the series, and rumors continue to surface that Windows 10 will make it easier for Halo 5 for the PC. But Microsoft has officially put the kibosh on any hope of a Halo 5 PC release.

"Our approach is to deliver epic Halo experiences designed for PC gamers and Windows 10, such as Halo Wars 2 and the recently announced Halo 5: Forge," a Microsoft spokesman told PC Gamer in response to a rumor that Halo 5 PC would be at E3. "There are no plans to port Halo 5: Guardians to PC.”

Halo 5: Guardians Forge mode was announced for Windows 10 users last month, and will allows players to create forge maps and levels that can be uploaded to your Xbox One. And a sequel to the RTS Halo Wars was announced for the PC last year at GamesCom. But for some reason, Microsoft is resistant to bringing a full Halo FPS experience back to the PC.

Either this is the ultimate misdirection to ensure a massive surprise at E3, or we will indeed have to continue to wait, hope and pray the the company sees the light and Master Chief eventually gets his PC due.
