Vincent D'Onofrio's Wilson Fisk returned for (what might be) a one-episode stint in the awesome "Seven Minutes in Heaven" (a perverse take on Frank's time window with William Forsythe's "Mr. Dutton"). Entering the picture briefly, and effectively, to not only catch us up on what Fisk's life has been like since the Season 1 finale, but also to establish his complicated relationship going forward with Punisher. Should either of these characters return for another season of Daredevil. Or if Punisher gets his own series. Or what-have-you.
Some of the Matt/Foggy stuff here felt a little bit like a repeat of last year's big blowout, but at least this one sort of took things a few steps further. Meaning, this time Matt sort of played it all really coldly and kind of shut Foggy out for real. Perhaps even pushing him away in order to protect him. And it all led to, basically, Foggy shutting down the law firm. For now. So while it's not the first rift we've seen between these two, it was a very serious one. Perhaps irreparable even. And it left Karen in the lurch. Though fortunately her dogged determination to uncover truths no matter where they hide led her back to Ellison. And into the sad-but-comforting embrace of Ben's old office.
