Warning: Full spoilers for the episode below.
"The Man in the Box" was a great episode, even though it was the first chapter in Season 2 to sort of feel a little off, structure-wise. Most of it felt like a collection of long scenes with a somewhat uneven flow connecting them. That doesn't mean there weren't great aspects to it though. Claire and Matt's rooftop discussion was pretty damn great, as Matt found himself adrift in such a way that he was ready to give up on having a career and friends entirely. All to stop The Hand and their diabolical plan.
Claire didn't exactly change Matt's mind about returning to his old life, but her voice was a necessary one here. Matt won't listen to reason, but he still needs to hear it. Though, in his defense, had he gone to talk to Foggy right then he wouldn't have been prepped to guard the hospital against the attack that started silently mounting during the final minutes.
