The Meddler Review

The latest game news from IGN - one of my fave channels ever - check it out

At the Oscars ceremony in 2015, J.K. Simmons implored a worldwide audience to call their parents. It seems fitting then that he plays a role in The Meddler, a new dramedy that is often heavily focused on imparting guilt to the audience for being an inadequate son/daughter (and watching the movie, you will feel inadequate).

Written and directed by Lorene Scafaria, Susan Sarandon is the titular meddler, Marnie Minervini. Born in Brooklyn, Marnie spent years in Jersey with her husband and, following his death, has moved to Los Angeles to live near their daughter, Lori (Rose Byrne). A recent transplant, Marnie has little holding her to the city and no friends in the area, so she spends much of her time at The Grove and leaving voicemails for her daughter.
