Once Upon a Time: "Ruby Slippers" Review

The latest game news from IGN - one of my fave channels ever - check it out

First of all, apologies the review for this week's Once Upon a Time is so late. I was out of town on a business trip in a different kind of Enchanted Forest.

Ahh, remember Ruby? She's back and has a loose connection to Zelena and by extension, Hades. Having characters and plot points tie together is usually positive, but sometimes drawing lines between the dots forces them into place in unnatural ways. This episode is proof of when it doesn't work; much of "Ruby Slippers" felt heavy-handed and disjointed.

Before touching on the Ruby, Mulan, and Dorothy adventures, let's talk about Zelena. She put a sleeping curse on Dorothy. As far as curses go, a sleeping one is run of the mill, but the kicker was Dorothy had no true love to wake her up since all her family was gone and Zelena knew it. This wasn't any surprise; we know Zelena's evil. Her shame over it was unexpected though, even if she only experienced it for the sake of her daughter.
