A busy episode here with ".380" as the hunt for the elusive Blacksmith consumed both Daredevil and Punisher - while it also may have been revealed that the man they're both searching for, all along, is...Stick?
I may be way off here, and I haven't watched ahead, but I feel like the scene where Stick was sharpening his sword at the end, while waiting for Elektra, was meant to imply that he's been behind everything. Using that whetstone to make his blade crisp seemed to imply a "Blacksmith" type mastermind. Plus, if anyone's good at eliminating their own crew, it's him.
Also, the identity of The Blacksmith can't just come out of nowhere this late in the game. Meaning, The Blacksmith would somehow be revealed to be a new character. He has to have ties to everything that's going on and, hopefully, connect some of the separate plot threads. And Stick can do that.
