Supernatural: "We Happy Few" Review

The latest game news from IGN - one of my fave channels ever - check it out

Warning: Full spoilers for the episode below.

Structurally, "We Happy Few" probably should have ended on a freshly killed God. Without the brief end tag telling us that he was still alive because Amara, giving into a notable villain cliche, wanted him to stick around long enough to see her destroy all he loves. Hell, you could have even ended the season on Amara killing God and that would have made for a nice finish point. And cliffhanger.

Because it's been clear for a while now that Dean is the key. Despite his feelings for Amara, and his subconscious inability to kill her himself, he's got to be the one to take her out. So it looks like next week's season finale is all about that. It's just not as powerful as - you know - wiping God out of existence. Which it seemed like the show actually did here for the duration of an ad break. And it was kind of cool to briefly consider what the show could do with a dead deity. Because while certain beloved characters will always skirt death, the entire concept of ganking God is pretty big. So I really enjoyed that moment.
