Norman Reedus is instantly recognizable to millions of television viewers as Daryl Dixon, one of the intrepid band of survivors on AMC's end of civilization series, The Walking Dead. In the Christian Cantamessa-directed sci-fi thriller Air, Reedus has to deal with a whole different sort of apocalypse.
Air, which also stars Djimon Hounsou and Sandrine Holt, takes place in the remnants of the United States, where an ill-defined threat has eliminated an untold number of people. The movie is not really concerned with any of that – the vast majority of it takes place in an underground, isolated bunker where two men, Bauer (Reedus) and Cartwright (Hounsou), are tasked with maintenance and upkeep.
