Microsoft has updated the Xbox app in Windows 10 that introduces a number of new features, including the ability to stream games from a user’s Xbox One at 1080p/60fps and more.
The Xbox app will now be capable of streaming games from your Xbox One to a Windows 10 device in 1080p/60fps. In order to access this high quality streaming option, you’ll need to go into Settings > Game Streaming and then set the video encoding level to Very High. Just be sure you have enough bandwidth at home before attempting this video quality.
The Xbox app will now allow users enable or disable notifications for when you’re invited to a party or multiplayer game, the ability to compare achievements with a friend, and updates to the Recently Played, My Games, and Add Games menus.
Microsoft has also addressed some issues users had around sign-in, localization, and game streaming reported by some Windows 10 users. The Xbox app has started to roll out and will be automatically updated once it becomes available in the Windows Store.
