Unseen64 docu-video reveals the Rayman 4 that never was

Here we go, the latest and greatest from Shacknews...

Years ago, back in the Nintendo GameCube days, Ubisoft had a vision of a fourth numbered Rayman sequel. That project wound up going by the wayside when Nintendo unveiled the GameCube's predecessor, the Wii, and Ubisoft would eventually release Rayman Raving Rabbids. But what became of that original Rayman 4 vision?

The people behind the Unseen64 video series have turned their sights to answering this question. A video released earlier today reveals what the former Phoenix Studio's original plan was for Rayman 4, what its plot would have entailed, and how those plans wound up falling apart. It's an interesting insight into what's led to something of a lukewarm relationship between Nintendo and Ubisoft in recent years, as well as what's helped lead to the total Rayman reinvention of the previous five years.
