There's a reason DC's Injustice: Gods Among Us comic book series ran as long as it did. That series thrived not because of its connection to a wildly popular video game, but because of the freedom it allowed its creative team. In a world divorced from the traditional DCU - one where Superman is fallible and corruptible and even the biggest icons can die - there's a lot more room to take risks and break toys. That's basically the same appeal fueling DCeased, which is also written by Injustice's Tom Taylor. This new miniseries applies the Marvel Zombies formula to the DCU, as a devastating zombie plague wreaks havoc on the globe. There's plenty of potential with the series, even if it isn't fully realized in the first issue.
