Arrested Development's Season 4 Remix Doesn't Fix All the Problems That Plagued It

Warning: Slight spoilers for the remixed fourth season of Arrested Development follow...

Landing fortuitously in time for Newport Beach's "Cinco de Cuatro," Arrested Development's remixed, re-cut, re-edited, and all together reconfigured fourth season - labeled "Fateful Consequences" -  is now available for mass streaming consumption.

It's no secret that the experiment that was Season 4, which was the show's first Netflix season (as well as one of the first seasons of a show to be rescued from cancelation by Netflix), wasn't met with the usual Arrested adulation. Though not without funny moments and goofy gags, Season 4 was also kind of a bloated mess with 30 to 35 minutes Rashomon-style episodes that focused on single characters - even if those characters weren't exactly capable of carrying an entire episode on their own.
