Alright, so at this point, most people have given up on the Batman: Arkham Knight Season Pass. After all, it started off with a disappointing story add-on and only became more of a letdown as the months went on. So why should anyone pay attention to Rocksteady's final update? Well, it looks like the studio has saved the best update for last, as it looks like the story is about to get amped up in a big way.
Today sees the release of Seasons of Infamy, which sees multiple side stories debuting, all of which center around debuting Bat villains or villains from previous games. They are:
- Wonderland - Batman takes on a mystery involving The Mad Hatter, with many Lewis Carroll-isms sprinkled about.
- Shadow War - The League of Assassins aims to bring back Ra's al Ghul, following the events of Batman: Arkham City.
- In From The Cold - Mr. Freeze's cryogenically-frozen wife, Nora, has been abducted and he's about to take out his fury on Batman.
- Beneath the Surface - Killer Croc is on a rampage and he's undergone a significant mutation since the events of Batman: Arkham Asylum.
In addition to this, players will find a 2008 Movie Batman Skin, offering up the Christian Bale costume used in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight. Also, the original Batmobile from Batman: Arkham Asylum returns, along with a special Rocksteady-themed Batmobile. Crime Fighter Challenge Pack #5 will round out this month's final batch of goodies.
Back in October, Nate Hohl asked if there's any hope for Arkham Knight's DLC and he may have gotten what he's looking for here. The December update is available today.
