Jim Holden’s message reached Ceres station and beyond which sets up a volatile situation between Earth and Mars while also angering belters. The news of the Canterbury connects a few dots for Miller who now knows where the Scopuli, the ship carrying Julie Mao, ended up. He still doesn’t know how everything is connected but this does lead him down the path of Julie being OPA and their involvement on the Scopuli. The Miller bits have been great so far. They feel like something out of a hardboiled detective novel. All he needs is an inner monologue.
Seeing Jared Harris (Mad Men, Fringe) was a nice surprise. Anderson Dawes (Harris) is an OPA operative who is coy about his direct connection to Mao and the Scopuli but he certainly seems involved. It’s good to see the truth behind what happened to Mao finally opening up. It feels like we’re leading to a big revelation that will eventually bring Holden and Miller’s story together. Or maybe like Game of Thrones, we will keep expecting these characters to unite five seasons later. They’re definitely on two sides of the same coin though.
