Dementia Review

The idea of a nurse or other caretaker having a nefarious plan for their charge is certainly not a new one, but that doesn't mean that there isn't fresh ground to be explored. After all, it is a potentially truly terrifying scenario – what do you do if someone is out to get you and no one is there to help, or no one who is there believes you?

These are the broad strokes of Dementia, a new slow burn thriller directed by Mike Testin. Gene Jones stars here as George Lockhart, a Vietnam vet who suffers a stroke and then finds himself with dementia as a result. His estranged son, Jerry (Peter Cilella), soon arrives with his daughter, George's granddaughter, Shelby (Hassie Harrison), to help get George back on his feet and find a long term solution for this man who can no longer live alone.
