Attack On Titan Episode 33 Review

The latest game news from IGN - one of my fave channels ever - check it out

The following review contains spoilers for the episode.

Things slowed down this week as the fighting ended and Episode 33 dealt with the aftermath of Eren’s battle. Focusing in on Mikasa and her connection with Eren provided some great emotional moments, but other moments felt repetitive as they conveyed thoughts and feelings that were already well known to us.

The Colossal Titan made quite a mess as it fell onto Eren and Reiner. It did its job, though, distracting and injuring the soldiers while giving Reiner the edge to rip into Eren and pull him from his titan. Their goal all along was to abduct Eren, so it made sense for them to try something like this, a quick and dirty diversion so they could get the job done. I enjoyed the sloppiness of it all, that they were thinking on their feet and were forced to improvise this strange maneuver since Eren was actually putting up a decent fight. It proves that Eren has changed quite a bit, but also speaks to the impromptu reveal of the Armored and Colossal Titan and how they may not have been in the best position to do so.
