Full spoilers for Riverdale continue below.
This review is about a story that's about a town. And in this poor town, seemingly nobody is ever safe. While on its surface Riverdale looks like a great place to visit if you want to experience simple times, this seedy little town is filled with lies, mistrust and so much blood.
When Season 1 wrapped up, it was with Fred Andrews (Luke Perry) bleeding out on the floor of Pop's Diner, cradled in the arms of his son Archie (KJ Apa). Now, after a summer that saw the show's popularity rise thanks likely in part to its availability on Netflix, Riverdale has returned. Whether its newfound place in pop culture will translate into higher ratings remains to be seen but one thing is for sure: The show is throwing a lot of story at viewers to entice them to stick around.
