Batman: Arkham Knight saw a less than stellar launch for PC, which led to an indefinite suspension of its sales through digital retailers like Steam. But worry not, because there's a finally a light at the end of the tunnel. Unfortunately, not so much a shining Bat Signal in the sky, but more of a pocket novelty flashlight.
Warner-Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced that a re-release of the game for PC will be coming soon.
The press release announcing the new Tumbler and Arkham Asylum skins DLC, a statement on the re-release including the following:
“Batman: Arkham Knight is based on DC Comics’ core Batman license and is available now for the PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system and Xbox One, and all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft. The PC version of the game will be available in the coming weeks.”
Batman: Arkham Knight released on June 23rd, but sales of the PC version were suspended due to major performance issues, even on high-end systems. Developer Rocksteady promised to fix the game, and issued a patch earlier this month that fixed minor issues, but hasn't indicated when the game might go on sale again until now.
No specific date has been announced yet, and no indications of whether or not those that purchased the game before the suspension be compensated in any way.
