CD Projekt Red has announced The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s first expansion, Hearts of Stone, will be released on October 13, 2015.
Hearts of Stone adds over 10 hours of content that includes new adventures, characters, monsters, unique romances, and a brand-new storyline that can be affected by the player’s choice. The expansion will also introduce Runewords, which will have a significant impact on the game. Each Runeword will affect a different aspect of in-game mechanics and will allow players to test out different strategies and tactics using these powerful tools.
In addition to Hearts of Stone’s digital release, Witcher fans will be able to purchase a limited boxed edition of the expansion for $19.99 at select retailers worldwide. The box will contain a digital download code for Hearts of Stone, two physical decks of Gwent, and a manual explaining the card game.
