Nintendo has released its 2016 lineup of games for both its Wii U and 3DS, which includes a number of notable titles such as Hyrule Warriors Legends, Star Fox Zero, and Pokken Tournament.
According to the newly-released document, we should expect both Hyrule Warriors Legends and the recently-delayed Star Fox Zero to launch in Q1 2016, while Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam and Pokken Tournament should arrive in spring 2016.
Some other titles expected to be released some time in 2016 are Bravely Second End Layer, Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright / Conquest, Metroid Prime: Federation Force, and Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
One game that is still yet to be dated for a 2016 release is the new The Legend of Zelda game for Wii U. We noticed its absence when Nintendo released its quarterly financial earnings report in July, and the title still has a “TBD” associated with its release. Even though this could mean Nintendo might not be able to deliver The Legend of Zelda in time for 2016, adding it to its 2016 release schedule still gives us hope the game will make its debut some time next year.
