Warning: Full spoilers for the episode below.
No Ash vs. Evil Dead episode has quite been able to match the majesty of the Raimi-written/directed premiere, but "The Killer of Killers" may be about as close as we'll get. Aided by buckets of blood, some nasty Deadites, Ash back in "douche" mode, and director Michael Hurst's knack for action, this one delivered the fun.
I still don't know what the show's doing with Ruby or why that character has been kept away with Ash for more than half the season (the opening here even saw her get swallowed up by hellfire or something), but it's been a thorn in the story's side. On the upside, Jill Marie Jones' Amanda was finally brought into the mix in a more official capacity by the end of this one. Like with "Books from Beyond," she started out as an obstacle. But then a giant "Drafter" exploded into the rustic Western Moose eatery and quickly put a stop to her being on the wrong side of the fight.
