Warning: Full spoilers for the episode below.
Blaine, you sneaky devil!
Going into this episode, it did feel like Major taking the cure might lead to the reveal that Blaine was faking his memory loss - but I’d guessed it would only be that he just recently got his memory back with the most recent version of the cute, not that he’d been faking it for, essentially, the entire time. This is a pretty cool reveal as far as making all of Blaine’s actions the past year feel very different, and pondering just what he was really up to this whole time.
Plus, it means Don E was right! Go, Don E!
It will be very interesting to see how Blaine is handled going forward. Now we know that he never stopped being that evil bastard from Season 1 -- someone who hasn’t truly paid for his crimes in any notable way. That doesn’t mean he can't have regrets, of course, but it does change things in a huge way. I do hope iZombie can figure out a way to make it work in the long term that doesn’t make it feel like Blaine is being let off the hook or that it’s stretching credibility to still keep him around at all (certainly all of his actions with Peyton look pretty reprehensible right now), but I'm looking forward to seeing how it plays out.
