Warning: Full spoilers for the episode below.
The Big Bang Theory just wrapped up its tenth season, which is an impressive feat by any measure. That said, this season hasn't been the show's best, a fact that often raises the question of whether it's time to call it quits and have Chuck Lorre throw all his weight behind the upcoming Young Sheldon spinoff. "The Long Distance Dissonance" delivered a major twist, but in general this episode wasn't quite strong enough to reinvigorate an increasingly tired series.
My biggest concern with the finale is that it seemed to be recycling the same conflict we've seen so many times. How many seasons have wrapped with one of the characters embarking on a long trip and leaving their colleagues and significant other behind? Howard went to space. Leonard went out to sea. Sheldon took his cross-country train trip. Now, apparently, it's Amy's turn to spread her wings and fly.
