Full spoilers for Better Call Saul continue below.
Everything is falling apart with just one episode left to go in Better Call Saul: Season 3, and the Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould series delivered one heck of a penultimate episode in "Fall."
The tension has been slowly ramping up in the back half of this season to an excellent degree, with Better Call Saul heavily foreshadowing an epic climax. We saw that tension continue to climb in this week's episode, culminating in Kim's crash at the end. If ever there was a sign that things aren't heading in the right direction and events are spiraling out of control, that is it.
We see it happening across the board with every character. For Mike, it's giving up his autonomy and solo enterprise by surrendering his name to Lydia at Madrigal to work for Gus. For Chuck, it's finally being told he should retire and exit Hamlin, Hamlin & McGill (a suggestion that is a long time coming), and for Howard, it's having Chuck push back against that by threatening to sue. Nacho is being pulled along through Hector's showdown with Gus, and with his escape plan not working (yet), he finally had to come clean to his father about falling back into work with Salamanca. As for Jimmy, we are fully seeing the worst side of him come through the more desperate he becomes.
