Gotham: Season 3 Review

The latest game news from IGN - one of my fave channels ever - check it out

Gotham split itself into three distinct acts/arcs during its jumbled third season, with the mini-middle saga (just three episodes, which aired during the winter) acting as a fun detour that brought back one of the show's best villains.

Did the villains shine more than the heroes in Season 3? Well, yes, but that's because it's the way Gotham has always operated. That's the gooey center. Batman's villains are always going to overshadow Batman to some extent, especially on a show where we'll never really get Batman. Right now we're watching Bruce take major steps toward becoming this thing we'll never see as part of this show -- except maybe at the very, very end -- while he endures hardships and violence and torture that, in a way, make his parents' deaths seem like one of the lesser events of his chaotic life.
