Warning: Full spoilers for the episode below.
The first half of My Hero Academia's second season has come to a close, and with it brings the end to the U.A. Sports Festival. The students have gone through a lot over these past several episodes, and "Todoroki vs. Bakugo" provides an incredibly satisfying conclusion to the battle tournament, while also setting the stage for the fascinating journeys that lie ahead for Deku and his friends.
My excitement for Todoroki's fight against Bakugo is eclipsed only by the prior showdown between Deku and Todoroki, so suffice it to say I had high expectations for this battle between two of U.A. High's most powerful and skilled students. Todoroki's dazzling ice attack got the battle off to a thrilling start, which was followed by one of my favorite moments from the entire fight, where Bakugo showcases his unbelievable speed to defend the oncoming shards in a flurry of rapid arm movements. Again, studio Bones wows with its jaw-dropping animation, providing a kinetic feel to each swift movement.
