Following an intense and powerful episode, “Old Story” throws on the brakes and revisits pieces of “Pain” to give them some context. But don’t be fooled by the brief pause for story, this episode moves just as quickly and is almost as engaging.
If you’re not already caught up with Season 3, we recommend you stop reading now. From this point forward, we’re going to be throwing out some major spoilers for this week’s episode.
“Old Story” is almost exactly what the title says it is–an old story. It picks up right where “Pain” left off, flashing back to Historia’s past and why her role in this world is so, so important to both the Scouts and the Interior. Her full name is Historia Reiss and she’s the illegitimate daughter to Rod Reiss, or in other words, the true royal family.
