Warning: FULL SPOILERS follow for Castle Rock Season 1, Episode 7, titled "The Queen." Castle Rock was renewed for Season 2 last week.
Castle Rock delivers a brilliant, but also unexpected episode this week with "The Queen." Without clarifying what's happening to Henry inside of "The Filter" device, the series instead delivers its most Stephen King-inspired outing yet, with an imaginative examination of dementia.
While King's tales typically include fantastical elements within their densely-layered plotlines, there is usually an undercurrent of realism or social commentary if you look closely, from the youthful anxieties of IT and The Body to Jack Torrence's struggle with alcoholism in The Shining.
