Warning: Full spoilers for the episode below.
A sort of funky, almost off-brand episode of Gotham this week with "Prisoners." In the sense that, well, it was a touch less heightened than usual. A bit quieter, in fact. Parts of it even played like a straight TV drama and not typical "comic book series" drama. Of course, that also made this chapter aggressively dull at times, but at least I felt like there was a change of pace.
Gordon actually serving time (a few weeks at this point, I think) and not actively doing anything to clear his name made this a rather maudlin entry. And him learning that Leslie had lost their child (off-screen, so it's probably a trick) was pretty damn dark. So a few points given here for really piling on the misery. That being said, Gordon's time in prison, even after being moved to "World's End" F Wing, was color-by-numbers. And the whole story with weakling Puck (Peter Mark Kendall), who was easily destined to die because of Gordon, felt unearned and kind of tacky.
