Agents of SHIELD: "The Singularity" Review

The latest game news from IGN - one of my fave channels ever - check it out

So far, I’m quite liking the depiction of Daisy under Hive’s control. "The Singularity" showed it wasn't all one-note and “Hive is my master! I work for Hive!” with Daisy and the other Inhumans suddenly robotic and not themselves. The idea that they’re addicted to what he gives them and feel happy from it gives it a different leaning – especially as we see they still have their own personalities and emotions, but are still compelled to do his bidding.

This was made the most apparent in the very strong scene where Daisy confronted Fitz and did let him live, albeit with a huge “Next time, I snap your neck” warning to stay away. Also of note was Hive not killing Simmons, which seemed to go beyond indifference and reflect that he really does have some of the feelings of those he’s inhabited - in this case Will’s love for her. Sure, it’s also clear they are more than willing to kill – wow on Hive disintegrating that guy chasing Simmons – but the tinge of conflict here makes it appealingly messier and likely sets up an Achilles' heel as we head towards a final confrontation.
