Halo 5: Guardians is now available for all Xbox One owners to enjoy, and with its release comes collectibles. The game has two forms of collectibles to obtain: Intel and Skulls. Intel is scattered throughout each mission in Halo 5, while skulls will only be found for those who are committed to investigating every inch of each level in order to obtain.
We’ve gone through the trouble to documenting the locations of all of the Intel and Skulls in every mission in Halo 5. If you want to hunt the truth, you’re going to want to obtain all of these collectibles.
Our guides will list the Intel and Skulls as they appear in the game. It’s best to progress through Halo 5’s story within each mission so you’ll know exactly where these are located.
Mission 1: Osiris
Intel 1/7: Unggoy Personal Log 005
We know you’re excited to get in and shoot some stuff in Halo 5, making this a piece of Intel some could overlook since it’s available once you start the game. As soon as the cutscene ends, head over to the right where you’ll find a dead Grunt lying between two Covenant crates.
Intel 2/7: Jul’Mdama’s Log
Spartan Locke will be introduced to his Spartan Charge ability by breaking through a large sheet of ice. Once you break through, you’re going to want to focus on the left side of the passage where a Storm Rifle is located. The Storm Rifle is pointing in the direction you’ll want to go to pick up the next piece of Intel. Drop down onto a small ledge and you’ll see it lying next to a dead Elite.
Intel 3/7: Covenant Combat Orders
As you make your way through the first large battlefield, stick to the right side of the map. You’ll end up jumping across multiple platforms, which you should see a dead Grunt with a Needler next to him. Jump to the ledge above him, which is where you’ll find this piece of Intel.
IWHBYD skull:
Prior to entering the next area, climb up the ledge to the left of the large door. Proceed onto the edge of the ledge to find the IWHBYD skull.
Intel 4/7: Halsey Research Notes 1/4
After you proceed through the battlefield, you’ll spot a large Kraken walking off in the distance. Once it passes by, proceed down the path, but stick towards the right. Drop down from the path and continue onward until you see a dead Elite with a Plasma grenade sitting next to him. The data pad will be sitting next to him.
Intel 5/7: Halsey Research Notes 2/4
We recommend you kill everything in the next battlefield as there will be a lot of enemies attempting to take down you and your squad. Once you defeat the opposition, head over to the area with two turrets and a large door. Head towards the rear of the right turret where you’ll spot a dead Elite with his legs up on a small ledge. The data pad will be located to the right of him.
Intel 6/7: Halsey Research Notes 3/4
Prior to entering the base to rescue Dr. Halsey. turn to the right towards a large window. The data pad will be located in front of that window.
Intel 7/7: Halsey Research Notes 4/4
This is another area we recommend you defeat all of the enemies prior to attempting to collecting this piece of Intel. Once the area is clear, head to the platform located to the right of the exit. The platform will have a dead Elite with scattered Covenant gear. The data pad is located on the platform.
