Halo 5: Guardians is now available for all Xbox One owners to enjoy, and with its release comes collectibles. The game has two forms of collectibles to obtain: Intel and Skulls. Intel is scattered throughout each mission in Halo 5, while skulls will only be found for those who are committed to investigating every inch of each level in order to obtain.
We’ve gone through the trouble to documenting the locations of all of the Intel and Skulls in every mission in Halo 5. If you want to hunt the truth, you’re going to want to obtain all of these collectibles.
Our guides will list the Intel and Skulls as they appear in the game. It’s best to progress through Halo 5’s story within each mission so you’ll know exactly where these are located.
Mission 2: Blue Team
Intel 1/8: Argent Moon: Station Warning
Master Chief and his squad will head down a ramp and onto a bridge. At the end of the bridge, you’ll enter a room where a control point can be seen with its screens flickering. That’s where you’ll find this first piece of Intel.
Intel 2/8: LOG: 2557-3-17 1231 SMT 1/4
The next area will have two Grunts. Beyond them is another room with some Elites, Grunts, and Jackals, which you should take out prior to looking for this piece of Intel. Once the room is clear, head over to the weapons rack to spot another control point with its screens flickering. The next piece of Intel is located there.
Intel 3/8: Test Results: Asteroidea 59B
This piece of Intel is located in a brown corridor that leads to the Control Center. Prior to entering the new area, you’re going to need to do a bit of climbing in order to reach it. Make a right within the corridor as soon as you see a body on the ground. You’ll need to climb up about three levels to finally reach a large platform. The platform will have a data pad sitting by itself.
Intel 4/8: Test Results: Asteroidea 61F
Proceed to Level 3, but first clear out all of the suicidal Grunts, Jackals, and Elites in the area. Once cleared, head over to the left side of the room to look for a some boxes that are stacked on top of each other. A vent can be spotted behind the boxes. Spartan Charge through the vent, which you’ll then spot a data pad on the ground once you reach the end of the vent.
Intel 5/8: LOG: 2557-3-19 1653 SMT 2/4
This one would be hard to miss as it’s literally in your path as you progress through the story. Once you see Covenant ships exiting slipspace, head down the corridor to find a control panel with flickering screens. That’s where this piece of Intel will be located.
Intel 6/8: Test Results: Asteroidea 472A
Once you defeat the Hunters, you’ll be directed to jump down through a vent. Prior to doing this, head back over to the elevator where you should spot a human body with a data pad lying next to him.
Intel 7/8: LOG: 2557-3-19 1654 SMT 3/4
Look for four large cylinders when you enter the large room. Head to the left side of those containers to find a control point that’s highlighted by some orange lights. The control panel has flickering screens, which means that’s where this piece of Intel can be found.
Black Eye Skull:
This skull won’t be as easy as the IWHBYD Skull as you’ll have to do a bit of climbing through some difficult areas. Inside the reactor room, you’ll need to jump on some crates, one of which is steaming. Proceed up these crates and onto a platform, where you’ll see a weapons rack. Climb the platform behind the weapons rack, then turn left and jump onto another platform. Turn right and follow a pipe that’s positioned along the wall. Jump across to a platform with a “Keep Clear” sign, but don’t listen to it as it’s hiding the Black Eye Skull. Climb up onto that platform and look for a vent facing downward. Perform a Ground Pound and inside of this room, you’ll find the skull positioned on a large canister.
Intel 8/8: LOG: 2557-9-12 613 SMT 4/4
After you destroy all of the vents, you’ll be directed to enter a bay. Proceed inside of the bay until you find the second long chamber which will have a control point with flickering monitors. That’s where you’ll find this last piece of Intel.
