Last week, Microsoft and Remedy Entertainment were out showing off preview builds of Quantum Break to members of the press. However, conspicuous by his absence was Remedy creative director Sam Lake. Lake was out in New York and that's where our own Andrew Zucosky caught up with one of the key minds behind Remedy's new third-person action game. It's here that Lake went into what players can expect from the story-driven effort, while also going into the various game physics that users will encounter.
"There are multiple different time powers and because this is kind of a superhero origin story, Jack gets blasted with chronon energies, as the science experiment goes wrong and he starts gaining these powers," Lake told Shacknews. "As you are progressing through the game, more and more different time powers are unlocked to you. You are gaining more tools to fight the enemy along the way. There is also an upgrade system, so you are discovering these chronon sources along the way and you can upgrade your time powers to tweak them in a way to fit more into what your personal taste and what are your favorite powers in it."
