Warning: Full spoilers for the episode below.
With the mystery over Zoom’s identity and ultimate plan gaining traction in recent episode of The Flash, one would think the last thing the show needs is to throw another speedster into the mix. But as it turned out, the debut of Trajectory this week didn’t just add another solid rogue to the lineup, it furthered the Zoom conflict significantly. Not a bad way to welcome the show back after a monthlong hiatus.
Barry is clearly still going through some stuff in the aftermath of his trip to Earth-2. He’s obsessed with becoming faster and challenging Zoom on equal footing (pun intended), but he’s not entirely sure how to accomplish that goal. Following a brief, failed attempt at jumping across a river (thank goodness for Cisco’s drones), Barry and his friends decided that the best option was to hit the town for a little R&R. And given that’s it’s pretty much an unwritten law that no superhero social gathering can unfold without being interrupted by a villain, Team Flash had their first run-in with the speedster known as Trajectory (played by Dragula’s Allison Paige).
