What's better than playing as one hero in Blizzard's Heroes of the Storm MOBA? Playing all the heroes.
Beginning on April 8 at 10:00 a.m. Pacific, Blizzard will unlock all 50 heroes, for free, until April 11 at 10:00 a.m. That amounts to 72 hours of free access to Heroes of the Storm's impressive roster of Blizzard bigwigs from across its popular IPs—a pretty sweet deal, considering the game typically rotates its free-to-play characters every week.
But wait! There's more! You'll also earn 50 percent extra XP during every game you play beginning at the same time on the morning of April 8. The XP gain lasts quite a bit longer, until April 18 at 10:00 a.m.
Both events correspond with the impending finals of Blizzard's Heroes of the Dorm tournament this weekend, April 9-10. The first round of play kicks off at 5:00 p.m. Pacific on Saturday the 9th, with the finals scheduled for April 10. The last team standing takes home swag and enough scholarships to cover "tuition for their college career," per the tourney's official website.
