One of the best episodes of Season 3, “Fallen” managed to juggle several storylines, with none of them feeling like they were being shortchanged and all propelling the major plotlines forward in compelling ways.
Bellamy siding with Pike (and the extremes he went to in doing so) remains a frustrating aspect of the season and not really something that can be retroactively fixed. So there is a certain point where you have to throw your hands up and try and just move on and see what’s being offered in the here and now. And on its own terms, that scene where Octavia beat the living hell out of Bellamy was a very powerful, wrenching moment – including Bellamy completely letting her do it and preventing anyone from stopping her.
