Preacher: "Sundowner" Review

The latest game news from IGN - one of my fave channels ever - check it out

So how about the opening 15 minutes or so of this week’s Preacher!?

After the pilot, Preacher had slowed down in subsequent episodes -- occasional chainsaw confrontation aside -- but this episode remedied that in a huge way, with that wonderfully twisted motel fight between Jesse, Fiore, DeBlanc and a Seraphim angel (and then Cassidy). The fact that three of these four would simply be resurrected – or, to be more specific, replicated, while their previous corpse remained – when they were killed was put to amazingly fun, macabre use, as the bodies kept piling up, but everyone just kept coming back.

From Cassidy mucking it all up by killing the Seraphim when they almost had her trapped, to the visual of the room simply covered in blood by the end – not to mention that great shot pulling back through the hole in the wall as the fight continued – this was a completely over the top, outrageous scenario that felt incredibly Preacher in all the right ways.
