Edge Case Games has announced its tactical-space MOBA, Fractured Space, is free on Steam this weekend. And by free, they mean completely and utterly free, so long as you download it this weekend.
The free weekend on Steam will allow players to add the game to their Library, where it’ll stay forever at no additional cost. The reason for this weekend’s freebie is to celebrate its progression towards launch, which includes performance and gameplay enhancements and a reset of all Tech Trees. All ships, experience, and credits unlocked from this point on will be reflected in the final game, which is expected for full release later in 2016.
“Today’s update brings us one step closer to the full release of Fractured Space and we want to celebrate the game’s progress by giving everyone a chance to play and own the game for free,” said James Brooksby, CEO of Edge Case Games. “Whether you have played in the past or not, this is a great moment to start your adventure with Fractured Space, with a chance to make your mark as a new Captain on equal footing with all players.”
Fractured Space originally launched in November 2014 as a part of Steam Early Access and attracted over 400,000 users. With it going completely free this weekend and its upcoming launch later this year, we’re sure that user count will increase substantially.
