Peter Molyneux, legendary developer behind such games as Populous, Black & White, and the Fable Series has just announced he will be retiring from the games industry immediately.
In a series of announcements on Molyneux’s Twitter account, he announced Godus, which he helped design, will be taken down from Steven “with immediate effect.” In a follow-up tweet, he says the following: “This is also the time I would like to announce my retirement from the games industry. It has been a long journey for me. Thank you.”
Molyneux follows up that message by saying his time in the industry has been “bitter sweet” and his biggest mistake was Fable III as it pushed him and his team to the limits.
