NVIDIA helps raise the bar on Rise of the Tomb Raider's PC performance

Here we go, the latest and greatest from Shacknews...

Rise of the Tomb Raider will be available to play on PC in less than 24 hours, and today, Square Enix has released a new trailer that focuses on all of the improvements Crystal Dynamics made to this version of the title.

The trailer offers a tech-centric look at the improvements made available to the PC version, including anisotropic filtering, tessellation, dynamic foliage, and support for HBAO+ thanks to a partnership with NVIDIA. HBAO+ is a high-end ambient occlusion technique, which reduces artifacts and produces a richer and more detailed ambient lighting.

Spend the next 3 minutes drooling over all of the improvements that have been made to Rise of the Tomb Raider’s PC version as it’ll release on January 28th.
