Warning: Full spoilers for the episode follow.
Initially, I had reservations about Jake and Bill letting Oswald continue down the rabbit hole (so to speak) in "Happy Birthday, Lee Harvey Oswald," but both characters brought up good points about not killing Oswald on the spot -- specifically Jake's thinking that, if Oswald was working for George de Mohrenschildt, the latter would still have time to recruit a new assassin and Jake would be back to square one, minus his longstanding intel on Oswald. That's not to mention the possibility of a second shooter, which I'll get to in a bit.
The eponymous birthday scene was a definite highlight this week and brought about some heart-pounding moments, as Jake entered the belly of the beast with Oswald, Oswald's family and George. That's not to mention the oh-so drunken Bill, who, as always, made matters worse for Jake -- in this case, by exposing their bugs and kissing Marina. Suffice to say, Bill's annoyance level hit its peak this week.
