Warning: Full spoilers for the episode below.
Look, there's no way I'm going to have reservations about Gotham going full-tilt "Riddler." It's what the show's sort of been leading toward. Nygma's been a part of the series since the start. He's not like the parade of pop-in villains. He's a mainstay, and a character we've seen in almost every episode. And, for better or worse, we've been following his oddball antics for two seasons now.
"Mad Grey Dawn" gave us one hell of a Riddler start though. I really liked it. Okay, maybe not all of the journey, but the destination was great. Jim Gordon - who actually DID kill Theo Galavan - got freakin' framed for killing Theo Galavan. Nygma took Gordon on a crazy crime spree full of riddles and clues and textbook Riddler stuff and the end result was Gordon going down for the crime. And I love the grayness of it all. I mean, are we really supposed to be rooting for Gordon to get out of Blackgate at this point? Because I'm not. I mean, he will. Bruce will help him. But the guy's a murderer.
