There were no huge revelations in "Metamorphosis," but a nicely-timed fundraiser/gala helped mold and shape this chapter into a concise package - putting ever major character in the same place so that various truths could be revealed.
That's not to say that we didn't learn a lot more about - say - Karolina, who not only discovered by accident that she could fly, but also that she had feelings for Nico. No, I'm guess not saying she accidentally found out she was in love (or like) with Nico, but it's definitely a secret she's been closely guarding and a truth that, maybe because of her "church," she's been denying. This wrinkle added a new (needed) complexity to the character and her stubborn refusal to acknowledge Gert's intuition on the matter created another possible schism in the team - as Karolina then doubled down on Chase, who didn't know he's being used.
