Warning: The following review contains spoilers for the episode.
The final battle has begun as Universe 11 and Universe 7 finally meet. What follows is an action-packed beat down as Episode 122 makes it clear Universe 7 is battling an enemy far out of its league. Tense dialogue and character growth from Vegeta help make this an excellent start to what will surely be the craziest fight in the Tournament of Power.
Vegeta and his persistence took the spotlight this week as he stepped in for an incredible battle with Jiren. His determination to continue the fight despite his disadvantage against Jiren culminated in a fantastic moment that showcased what makes his character so special: his ability to admit fault. Acknowledging his arrogance from his “Saiyan Pride” – something he’s fallen back on throughout Dragon Ball – as a weakness was powerful. Even more powerful was his vow to turn it into a source of strength. Of all the characters in Dragon Ball history, Vegeta has seen some of the greatest growth and again we see that displayed.
